Michael Beug, famed mycologist and author of ‘Mushrooms of Cascadia’ will talk about the diverse Ascomycetes of Cascadia including all the common edible and toxic species, their seasons and their habitats. ‘My focus will be on the Pezizales plus a sampling of distinctive species from other orders’. He will close with a few culinary truffles and truffle hunting techniques.
