What’s cooking with Chad: Inside a Mushroom Forager’s Kitchen
From the depths of his kitchen, Chad will share some fun fungi-food facts, and dazzle us with cooking tips, tricks, and recipes that we will all want to learn to make on our own. He will reveal some recipes from his recent cookbook and will update us on what he’s cooking these days. 

Speaker: Chef Chad Hyatt.
Chad Hyatt is a classically-trained chef who spent the last decade working in restaurants and private clubs around the San Francisco Bay Area. Chad’s cooking career began more than a decade ago, after leaving an engineering career for culinary school. He cooked in a wide range of kitchens, from Michelin-starred fine-dining establishments to opening a BBQ restaurant―from country club to gastropubs. He spends his free time hunting for and learning about mushrooms, along with seeking out new techniques and traditional ethnic recipes to apply to them. He is passionate about approachable comfort-food, based on local, seasonal ingredients and, of course, wild mushrooms.

Chad frequently demos and teaches wild mushroom cookery at private and public events, does wild mushroom pop-up dinners, and recently released an innovative new wild mushroom cookbook, The Mushroom Hunter’s Kitchen.
