OMS on Facebook and Instagram

Do you know about OMS’ social media pages? As of 2016, we started official accounts on Facebook and Instagram. The purpose of these pages is to share the love of mushrooms with both OMS members and the general public, and to help get the word out about our organization to prospective new members. We post monthly meeting descriptions, notifications about upcoming events, photos of our gatherings, mushroom related news items and photos of mushrooms with educational information.

About OMS

OMS is an educational and scientific organization. Its mission is to study, collect, and identify fungi, to educate members and the public in fungi identification, and to promote health and safety in the gathering and consumption of fungi.

Membership is open to anyone who is interested in mycology (the branch of science dealing with the study of fungi). Members enjoy exclusive access to online content and announcements, field trips, and mycology camps to learn from knowledgeable identifiers.
