Around Oregon, altruistic and knowledgeable mushroom identifiers work with the Oregon Poison Center and with hospital staff members on mushroom poisoning cases. These dedicated experts don't treat the patient, but identify the suspect mushrooms so doctors will be able to decide the appropriate treatment procedures (sometimes opposite from one toxic mushroom to another!). Their knowledge and their microscope and chemical skills are crucial to resolving poisoning cases. | home | |
