OMS Meetings:

May 8: (A non-OMS Event) The Cascade Mycological Society welcomes all to our last presentation meeting of the year. The presentation will be "Fungi in the Forest: from below ground to alpine" by Dan Luoma and Joyce Eberhart. We will be learning about the ecology of mushroom-forming fungi from these noted experts. The meeting starts at 7:00 pm in room 115 of building 16 at Lane Community College. For more information, please contact Kyle at 463-5260 or leucangium@gmail.com.

June 1-6: (A non-OMS Event) The Sierra Nevada Field Campus (SNFC) offers a week long class/foray on the Fungi of the northern Sierra Nevada with highly acclaimed mycologist Dennis Desjardin. SNFC, located north of Lake Tahoe is a part of San Francisco State University, providing environmental education to everyone in the general public through these 5 day immersion classes. 	*Meetings - Where:* The Forest Discovery Center (formerly called the World Forestry Center), Cheatham Hall 4033 SW Canyon Road Portland Oregon. It's next to the Zoo. MAP. Meetings - When: The fourth Monday of the month (except July & December). Time is 6:30 PM for Education Classes, and 7:30 for the General Meeting. Upcoming programs include mycologists, chefs, researchers or workshop leaders sharing something new of interest about mushrooms or mushrooming. Meetings also give us time to socialize, buy mushroom books, or talk with our librarians Judy Roger or Maggie Rogers, about borrowing library books or journals. In the winter, just after the winter holidays, we also have our "Survivor's Banquet." \|home\|
