What's a Mushroom Show? In a good season, over two dozen beautifully arranged tables of carefully picked, identified and displayed mushrooms are presented for an amazed public at the World Forestry Center.

Held usually the third week in October, this colorful event also showcases mushroom cookery or preservation, toxic mushrooms information, books for sale, demonstrations of mushroom dyeing, a "Kids' Corner" and much more. OMS Members put this all together between 5:30 a.m. and noon on that Sunday for a noon to 5 p.m. show. It's a miracle - and a fund-raiser for programs and the library.
